We only change limiters on vehicles that aren't legally required to have one. Most goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, and some others, must keep a speed limiter, and we won't alter those. You'll need to tell your insurer about the change.

Is it legal?
On most cars and on vans that aren't legally required to have a limiter, yes. Vehicles that must have one, such as most goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, can't be changed, and we won't alter them.
Do I need to tell my insurer?
Yes. It's a modification and must be declared.
Can you do this at my home?
No. This is done at our workshop at Mallory Park, where we have the full equipment. Our mobile service, ECU Solutions, covers Stage 1 and Stage 2 remaps, gearbox remaps and AdBlue / NOx sensor repairs.
