What we collect
- Enquiries and bookings: your name, phone number, email address, vehicle registration, the service you're interested in and anything you tell us in your message.
- Mobile visits: the address or postcode where you would like us to work on your vehicle.
- WhatsApp: if you message us on WhatsApp, your phone number, name and messages. WhatsApp is run by Meta under its own privacy policy.
- Website use: if you accept cookies, information about how you found and used the site, such as the advert you clicked and the pages you visited.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and book your vehicle in. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then performing that contract.
- To keep records of the work we've done on your vehicle, including your original ECU file, so we can support you afterwards. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in providing aftercare, and our legal obligations for business records.
- To measure how well our adverts and website work, only if you accept cookies. Our lawful basis is your consent.
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for any purpose you wouldn't reasonably expect.
Who we share it with
We only share your data with companies that help us run the business, such as our website host, email and form providers, and our accounting and booking systems. If you accept cookies, Google receives information about your visit for advertising measurement and analytics. These providers only use your data on our instructions or under their own privacy policies, and where data is transferred outside the UK, appropriate safeguards are in place.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don't lead to a booking for up to 2 years. We keep customer and vehicle records, including original ECU files, for as long as needed to support the work we've done and to meet legal and accounting requirements, normally up to 6 years after your last visit.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To do any of these, email info@mallory-performance.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
